Google has removed Pagerank data from its webmaster tools due to statistical imbalance. They clarified that, it had been done as part of Search Engine Optimization. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the option of getting websites to rank higher based on the search engine query results. Google uses PageRank algorithm to calculate a web page?s rank in a numerical score based on the importance it gets. Its rank is loosely dependent on the inbound links to a page apart from the relevance and credibility of these links. Google says that PageRank is not the key factor in SEO because many webmasters preoccupy over the statistical information over the net. The Google?s development team said that such types of metrics were irrelevant as far as getting statistics about the number of inbound and outbound links concerned. So they are opting to put the tool in the back burner.
