Yahoo-Twitter Partnership2010-02-24

Today, we learned that Yahoo and Twitter are moving into partnership and struck a content sharing deal.This would be of course more comprehensive than Twitter's search partnership with Bing and Google.
Majorly,the integration would focus on 3 areas:

- Twitter access on Yahoo- You would be able to access your twitter account on Yahoo properties like Yahoo Mail,Sports etc. which means you will be able to check your tweets there.

- Status update from Yahoo - You will be able to update your status from multiple locations on Yahoo.Yahoo could provide this facility through any of the methods like widgets etc. but we are still not sure about this.

- Integration of Yahoo Search & Twitter updates - There would be integration of Public Twitter Updates with Yahoo Search,Entertainment and other Yahoo properties.

There could be real time updates in Yahoo Search as now Yahoo will have complete access to Twitter data.So, now you can expect more freshness and relevancy in Yahoo Search.

With this integration,Yahoo Search will be in line with its competition in terms of real time data.
